Vineyard Cattle Co.

For the past 40 years, Vineyard Cattle Co. has been a leader in the commercial cattle industry and an innovator in genetics and breeding. As a result, it has been established as one of the leading Total Maternal Herds in the Brangus Breed.

Vineyard Cattle Co. has been an innovator of productive “new genetics” in that the breeding program maintains a certified quarter-blood, a certified half-blood and a certified three-quarter-blood herd, as well as a small Brahman and Angus herd of cattle. The ultimate goal of these herds is to produce predictable and consistent first-generation three-eighths x five-eighths Brangus cattle that will expand the gene pool for their customers and the breed.

During the past several years, Vineyard Cattle Co. added an UltraBlack breeding program to their Brangus genetics.

Vineyard Cattle Co. has always utilized the most advanced technologies and was one of the first breeders to use ultrasound technology to measure ribeye area, intramuscular fat (IMF) and fat thickness and to incorporate embryo transfer.

Robert Vineyard has been recognized and elected to the highest IBBA levels, including president and breeder of the year.
